Rose Tarlow Melrose House<\/h3>\n

When Rose Tarlow opened as R. Tarlow Antiques in 1976, her reputation for understanding what constituted quality in design became evident and has continued to build over the decades. She believes that every piece must have its own personality. With a respectful perspective she may reinterpret an antique piece by playing with proportions, changing woods, and perfecting finishes. By taking elements from an original piece such as an unusual curve of a leg, patina or modifying a pieces\u2019 scale she creates a completely unique translation.<\/p>\n

Rose Tarlow’s pieces are often eccentrically expressed, but still recognizable in the style of the period proving her belief that antiquity does not always mean perfect and ingenuity often becomes improvement.<\/p>\n

At Melrose-House everything created is a reflection of collective talents with pieces often being hand crafted, which results in no two pieces ever being completely similar.<\/p>\n
