The elements all take their toll on fabrics, rugs, and furniture. Brooke Wagner, founder of Brooke Wagner Design, knows this all too well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__gutenberg\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">For her own beachside retreat in Corona del Mar, California, she needed to update the existing deck and make it more user-friendly, stylish, and durable for her surf-loving family of five. \u201cThis outdoor area is steps from the sand and is used daily with kids coming and going. We redesigned the existing space because I knew it could function better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__gutenberg\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.perennialsfabrics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/OnDeck-2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111370\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/perennials.imgix.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/09172525\/OnDeck-2-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/perennials.imgix.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/09172525\/OnDeck-2-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/perennials.imgix.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/09172525\/OnDeck-2-1-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/perennials.imgix.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/09172525\/OnDeck-2-1-600x400.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__gutenberg\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">One of Wagner\u2019s priorities was to create a space with enough seating to host large gatherings. \u201cWe love to entertain so it was important to have enough seating. The bench around the fire pit fits ten to twelve people, the deck chairs seat four, and there is bar seating for five.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wysiwyg__gutenberg\">\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Living by the beach presents a specific set of challenges. Wagner says, \u201cWe love Perennials for its versatility. I frequently use these fabrics for indoor and outdoor use as it is just as beautiful as it is durable.
